Mark’s goal in life is to ask just the right questions to unlock new potential, new meaning, and new ideas—and to help authors structure that potential into engaging, successful books. Mark is driven by curiosity and has written with and for CEOs, entrepreneurs, emergency responders, doctors, marketers, biochemists, engineers, lawyers, and patients and their families, among many others. He holds a PhD in English with a focus in writing and rhetoric, and spent nearly a decade as a college writing professor before transitioning to nonprofits as a research director and clinical educator.
Mark’s greatest strength is the ability to keep many things in mind at once: to hold onto the big picture while diving into the details, to see how all the puzzle pieces fit together, and to nurture the emotional storytelling heart of a book without losing the technical accuracy.
The call of the mountains and the wide-open Western sky drew Mark to Denver, where he loves hiking and climbing and escaping into nature whenever he can. In addition to his work for Scribe, Mark is a personal trainer, yoga instructor, and values coach, and in his free time (ha!), he’s pursuing licensure as a massage therapist and bodyworker. Holly thinks the best moment in editing a manuscript is when she figures out how that one weird piece fits in and the whole project clicks. She especially loves working with big, messy manuscripts and helping authors give their ideas more structure. In addition to editing, she also copyedits, proofreads, and is an expert in all things citations. She has worked with Scribe since 2019.
Before joining Scribe, Holly spent her time in the classroom, where she taught university-level composition courses. She earned a doctorate in comparative religion in 2015; her research focused on popular media portrayals of Muslim and Mormon women.

Mario Milosevic has more than 40 years of experience as a published (under his own name) writer of poems, short stories, articles, collections, and novels. He has also worked as a ghostwriter on numerous nonfiction projects, ranging from memoir to business to self-help. Mario was born in a refugee camp in Italy to Croatian and Serbian parents. When he was just a baby, his family immigrated to Canada, where he grew up in a small mining town in Northern Ontario. In 1980, he met his wife, Kim Antieau, at a writing workshop in Michigan. They got married a year later and are still happily together. After living in Oregon and Washington State for many years, Mario and Kim now make their home in Tucson, Arizona.
