He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.

Additionally, Dr. Archer has a teaching affiliation at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine as an adjunct associate clinical professor."
