About Bridgette
Bridgette Mayer is an art dealer in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Bucknell University in 1992 with a BA in studio art and art history, then worked for a top gallery in New York, traveled and worked in Asia, and worked at an architectural firm in California before returning to the East Coast. In 2001 she opened the Bridgette Mayer Gallery on Philadelphia's historic Washington Square, representing artists from Philadelphia, New York, Los Angeles, and around the world in contemporary painting, sculpture, and photography. In her memoir The Art Cure, she shares her journey from the projects of Jersey City and years of neglect and abuse to becoming one of Philadelphia's most celebrated gallery owners.
