About the Author

Kevin Osterman

Kevin Osterman was born and raised in Upstate New York. Shortly after turning seventeen, he dropped out of high school and enlisted in the Marines, serving in Vietnam as a radar operator, direct air support controller, infantry rifleman, and battalion intelligence scout. Four years after his honorable discharge from the Marine Corps, he joined the Arizona Air National Guard, eventually retiring as a lieutenant colonel. After his military service, he established and operated a mediation service offering mediation, training, and program development. His memoir, Becoming Kevin: From Warrior to Peacemaker, traces his journey from delinquency to peacemaker.
