In over 40 years at IBM, during which he rose to become Executive Vice President of Innovation and Technology, Nick Donofrio earned his place as one of the greats of the modern technology era. Voted one of Business Week’s 25 Top Innovation Champions, Nick joined Big Blue just as it ascended to market leadership with its iconic System/360 Mainframe and he led teams that brought important products to market, from the original RS/6000 Workstation to the revitalized System/390 Mainframe - one of the biggest transformations of technology in IT history and the key to arguably the greatest turnarund in business history - to the Accelerated Strategic Computing Initiative (ASCI) supercomputer that enabled the United States government to maintain its nuclear stockpile without tests. Later, as he led IBM's entire technology community into the 2000s, he oversaw an innovation renaissance that launched both Blue Gene and Watson.

Now, for the first time, Nick - along with dozens of clients and colleagues - tells his incredible story. From a humble upbringing in Beacon, New York, Nick engineered a business and tech career - and life - rivaled by few. But he did not do it alone. Pushed hard to succeed by both his hard-driving father and nurturing mother, Donofrio learned at an early age to "always accept the challenge," a mantra that drove him not only throughout his career at IBM, but as a leading board member at companies including BNY Mellon, Liberty Mutual, Aptiv, MITRE, and most spectacularly, Advanced Micro Devices.

In If Nothing Changes, Nothing Changes, is more than just a business and technology biography, though. Nick also explains the nuts-and-bolts of how he drove IBM techies to embrace a market-centric focus, push for new ground-breaking technologies, and redefine innovation in in a way that broke down decades-old silos and sparked global collaboration for a new Big Blue.

Featuring interviews with tech and business luminaries like Sam Palmisano, Jon Rubinstein, Lisa Su, Bernard Charles, Linda Sanford, Vic Reis, Paul Horn, If Nothing Changes, Nothing Changes looks back at tech history and forward at our exciting tech future with the passion that has been the hallmark of everything Nick Donofrio has ever done. Let Nick Donofrio lead you on a hard-driving journey and show you why If Nothing Changes, Nothing Changes.
