About the Author

Zoltan Cendes

Zoltan Cendes is an engineer, entrepreneur, and the founder of Ansoft Corporation, a pioneer in engineering simulation software whose use of the finite element method helped transform the design of electrical and electronic products. Ansoft went public and was later acquired by ANSYS. Born in a refugee camp in Austria and raised in Canada, he earned a PhD and built a career at the intersection of engineering, mathematics, and business. He is the author of The Objectivist's Guide to the Galaxy: Answers to the Ultimate Questions of Life, the Universe, and Everything, a book that draws on science and philosophy to explore questions about reason and reality.
