Curtiss Murphy is a People Manager with over three decades of management experience. He currently oversees art, quality, and engineering for a major mobile game publisher as the Vice President of Engineering. Curtiss is also a Professor of Game Design at Laguna College of Art and Design and an award winning author, speaker, and designer, best known for his research on how the science of learning can create more effective training games. Curtiss has published dozens of articles, chapters, and presentations, including Why Games Work and What Makes Great Games Great. Though mostly a native of Virginia, Curtiss now lives in Irvine, CA with the love of his life.
