Why Every American Should Join The Military

I was advised to write a few sentences about myself for the author’s bio. My publishing team, family and friends have all told me; Delano, let the people know who you are. Tell them your story. Build credibility with your readers. I could tell you that I’m an Enduring Freedom war veteran who served in combat, that I’m a former highschool football and basketball coach, that my parents were born in the Bahamas, that I graduated from the University of Miami with honors, that I’ve owned several businesses and purchased multiple properties, that I love my country and most of all our Lord and Savor, but truthfully none of that matters. This is one of the many reasons I wrote this book. This book is not about who I am, where I’m from or what I’ve accomplished. This book is about you, this book is about us, this book is about America. We have become so self-obsessed, so self- absorbed, so self-centered that we have lost our ability to defer, we’ve lost our ability to reason, we’ve lost our ability to unite. Everyone knows that there is power in numbers. Unity induces cohesion; cohesion creates strength, strength sustains power. Long story, short; it's not about me, it’s about us.
