David Kashmer

Dr. David Kashmer is a trauma and acute-care surgeon and a healthcare quality-improvement expert. He holds a Lean Six Sigma master black belt and an MBA in healthcare administration from George Washington University, and he has served as a section chief, chief of surgery, and chief medical officer, as well as on the Board of Examiners for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.

He is the author of Volume to Value: Proven Methods for Achieving High Quality in Healthcare, which introduces physicians and administrators to the standard tools of quality improvement, and The Hidden Curriculum, a guide to the unwritten rules of building a career in medicine, from contracts to salary negotiations.
