About This Book

You've done your residency. Now what? When Dr. David Kashmer was finishing his surgical residency, he had a realization: he knew quite a bit about surgery, but almost nothing about earning a living as a surgeon. After getting an MBA, starting multiple companies in the medical space, and becoming the chair of surgery at a major medical group, Dr. Kashmer is finally ready to share what he's learned. In The Hidden Curriculum, Dr. Kashmer lays out the unwritten rules of surgery and medicine. From salary negotiations to contract structures, this book is the ultimate guide for young doctors to avoid the pitfalls and stumbling blocks that too-often come on the road to success.
