Derryen Plante

Derryen Plante set out to become a special investigator for the federal government working on high-level crimes. While completing a unit check at the juvenile prison where she worked, she was violently attacked by an inmate and suffered a traumatic brain injury that led to PTSD, depression, and multiple medical interventions. She earned a bachelor’s degree from St. Lawrence University and a master’s in criminal justice from Boston University, and she works as a principal revenue agent for the State of Maine.
