Gerard Wood is one of the mining industry's foremost authorities on equipment maintenance and reliability. He began his career in his teens as a tradesman on the shop floor and worked his way up to maintenance general manager, earning advanced qualifications in electrical engineering, business, and mining engineering along the way. With more than thirty years in mining, he has worked around the world solving the persistent maintenance problems that plague the industry by building cultures of ownership and care.
