Janelle Perez

Janelle Perez is the author of The Moral Police: Surviving Discrimination in Law Enforcement and Injustice in the Courts. She graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a degree in administration of justice and sociology and served nearly seven years as a police officer in Northern California. After being fired by the Roseville Police Department, she sued her former employer for gender discrimination and won a ruling in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Her book offers an insider's look at life as a female police officer and her long fight for justice.
