About John
After twenty-seven years of marriage, John R. Sardella lost his wife, Margaret, following a seven-year battle with cancer. Searching for a book that would give him space for his grief and help him move forward, he found only clinical works written by psychologists. That absence inspired him to write A Journey without a Map: Stories of Loss, Grief, and Moving Forward, in which he shares how he worked through the grieving process to remind others that they are not alone and that they will be okay. Sardella was a teacher for sixteen years and a school principal for fifteen. He is also the author of How to Start a Successful Youth Lacrosse Program and L is for Lacrosse: An ABC Book.
