Ron Williams

Ron Williams is the chairman and CEO of RW2 Enterprises, LLC and the former chairman and CEO of Aetna, the health insurance company he helped transform. He joined Aetna in 2001, became president in 2002, and served as CEO from 2006 until 2011, guiding the company from a loss from continuing operations to billions of dollars in annual operating earnings. One of only a small number of African Americans to have led a Fortune 500 company, he grew up on the South Side of Chicago and holds a master's degree in management from the MIT Sloan School of Management. Today he advises senior executives on strategy and transformational leadership and serves on corporate boards.
