The Patient as CEO

Robin Farmanfarmaian is an author, professional speaker, and entrepreneur working at the intersection of technology and medicine, with a focus on how emerging tools empower patients to take control of their own healthcare. Her own experience being misdiagnosed as a teenager and enduring multiple surgeries set her on that path, and she has since helped launch and build more than ten early-stage companies.

Her leadership roles include co-founder and executive director of the Organ Preservation Alliance, president of i4j, chief operating officer for Arc Fusion, and vice president of business development for Invicta Medical. She has served on advisory boards for organizations including SXSW V2Ventures, AARP, and the Kairos Society, taught as adjunct faculty at Singularity University, and written for Wired, Forbes, and Huffington Post.
